Tony Awards 2023 will be its 76th annual awards ceremony event. The ceremony will recognize the achievements in Broadway productions during the 2022–23 season.
It was founded by theatre producer and director Brock Pemberton and are named after Antoinette “Tony” Perry, an actress, producer and theatre director who was co-founder and secretary of the American Theatre Wing.
The Tony Awards ceremony was first premiered on April 6, 1947. It was designed Herman Rosse. The Tony awards are presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League at an annual ceremony in Manhattan every year.
