The Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival was founded and established by Marlene Dermer (a native of Peru) and Edward James Olmos in 1997.

This film festival includes feature films, documentaries, and short films from the Spanish and Portuguese diaspora to select the best creations in each category that people love most.
