Figment first debuted at EPCOT in 1982 as the star of the Journey into Imagination attraction. He quickly became a fan favorite, and his likeness can be found throughout the park. However, Figment was absent from EPCOT for several years after the Journey into Imagination attraction was closed in 2017.
In 2022, Disney announced that Figment would be returning to EPCOT as part of the park’s ongoing transformation. The Figment meet and greet will be located in the Imagination Pavilion, which is currently undergoing a major renovation.
