Brian Austin Green, the star of Beverly Hills, 90210, has revealed how he co-parents his three children with his ex-wife Megan Fox, the actress of Transformers.
Green also praised his current partner Sharna Burgess, the dancer of Dancing with the Stars, for being supportive and respectful of his co-parenting relationship with Fox.

Green and Fox were married for 10 years and share three sons: Journey River, 7, Bodhi Ransom, 9, and Noah Shannon, who turns 11 later this month. The couple announced their separation in May 2020 and filed for divorce in November 2020.
Fox has since moved on with rapper Machine Gun Kelly, while Green started dating Burgess in December 2020.
In the latest episode of their podcast Oldish, Green and Burgess talked to Randy Spelling about how they have worked with Fox to co-parent the children in a healthy and positive way. Green admitted that “it takes work” to get to a good place in co-parenting, calling it a “concerted effort.”

“You can’t just coast through parenting. Parenting is, you’re on your feet thinking, all day long, trying to make the best decisions you can in moments you don’t know what decision will work the best.
It’s all trial and error,” he explained. “I’ve learned having five kids, is different with every single child because every single one is a different person,” Green continued. “You have to figure out the methods that work the best for that person and will serve them the best.
We have three kids in the house that are all about a year and a half apart and they’ve all been raised virtually the same way and they couldn’t be more different from each other. They’re absolutely different people.”
Green added that he, Fox, and Burgess “co-parent really well together.” “When we need to, we communicate really well, we’re open to things. We don’t take things personally. It is my goal, and I think it’s her goal as well, that the kids are in as healthy an environment as they can be in,” he shared.
Green also said that he has come to realize that divorce will inevitably affect the children, but the parents have control over how it affects them.
“The part of it you have control over is how it affects your kids, whether it’s a positive experience and you co-parent with the other person well, or you make it as loving an experience as possible, or a very angry head-to-head, fighting constantly,” he noted.
Green said that the three of them go out of their way to avoid making the kids feel as though they are “stuck in the middle.” They decided that in light of personal disagreements, they must put their differences aside when necessary because “it always has to be about the kids.”
Burgess also shared their thoughts
Burgess also shared how she reached out to Fox via text to introduce herself when her relationship with Green became more serious.
She said that she wanted to be respectful and transparent with Fox and let her know that she was spending time with her children. She said that Fox appreciated her gesture and thanked her for being open.
Burgess also complimented Fox for being an “awesome woman” and a “great mom.” She said that she admires how Fox balances her career and motherhood. She also said that she loves Green’s children as if they were her own and enjoys being a part of their lives.

Green and Burgess also have a son together, Zane Walker, who was born in June 2021. Green said that having a baby with Burgess has been an amazing experience and that he feels blessed to have her in his life.
