Noah Baumbach is going to open the Venice Film Festival with the opening show of Greta Gerwig and Adam Driver starred “White Noise”
The festival director Alberto Barbera said, “It is a great honor to open the 79th Venice Film Festival with ‘White Noise,’”
Film "White Noise" is based on the Don DeLillo’s 1985 novel “White Noise”
This American family drama film is written and directed by Noah Baumbach.
Film stars are Baumbach's wife Greta Grewig, Adam Driver, Don Cheadle, Raffey Cassidy and Jodie Turner-Smith.
Baumbach said, “It is a truly wonderful thing to return to the Venice Film Festival, and an incredible honor to have ‘White Noise’ play as the opening night film,”
He also said - “This is a place that loves cinema so much, and it’s a thrill and a privilege to join the amazing films and filmmakers that have premiered here.”
The 79th Venice International Film Festival will go live from Aug. 31 through Sept. 10, 2022.
