Why Aretha Franklin is at the top of the 200 greatest singers list?

Recently Rolling Stone published a list of top 200 greatest singers of all time.

Rolling Stone top ranked the singer Aretha Franklin in this 200 greatest singers of all time list

No doubt, Aretha Franklin was a greatest singer who had given her 65 years for music.

Aretha Louise Franklin who is known as Aretha Franklin was born on March 25, 1942

The famous American singer, songwriter, and pianist Aretha is also known as "Queen of soul"

She started her music career at the age of 10  in 1952.

With global sales of over 75 million records, she became one of the world's best-selling music artists.

Earlier she had twice been placed ninth in Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Artists of All Time"

At the age of 18, Aretha was signed as a recording artist for Columbia Records

She recorded 112 charted singles on the US Billboard charts, including 73 Hot 100 entries, 17 top-ten pop singles, 100 R&B entries and 20 number-one R&B singles.

She was married twice  and became the mother of 4 sons. She was married with Ted White in 1961 and with Glynn Turman in 1978.

She released several hit sons like  "Ain't No Way", "Call Me", "Don't Play That Song (You Lied)", "Spanish Harlem", "Rock Steady", "Day Dreaming", and more.

Franklin died at her home on August 16, 2018 at the age of 76.
